For (potential) Patients

Every practice collects personal data from their patients. The protection of this information is very important to us.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires that we provide information about why we collect, save and transfer data.

The Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Data

During the course of psychotherapy we collect various information about your person and your health. These include the anamnesis (personal and life history), diagnoses, test results, therapy plans and session notes that we develop ourselves or receive from other psychotherapists or physicians (consultation reports, doctor's letters, etc.). The collection of this information is a prerequisite for a careful treatment. Of course, we handle these data carefully on the basis of the legal requirements and the rights and obligations arising from the therapy contract.

Recipients of Data

Psychotherapists have a duty of confidentiality. We only pass your personal data on to third parties if this is legally permitted and/or you have expressly consented. Recipients of your personal data may be, in particular, other physicians/psychotherapists and health insurance companies. The transfer of data is mainly for the purpose of billing the services we provide and to clarify medical or coverage issues.

Saving of Data

As required by law, all personal data and treatment record are kept for 10 years after the completion of the psychotherapy. Your data will be protected by appropriate technical and organizational methods.

Your Rights

You can revoke your authorization for disclosure of information at any time. You have the right to receive information about your stored personal data. If you notice any inaccuracies, you may request that the inaccurate data be corrected or deleted.

The government agency responsible for monitoring compliance with the Data Protection Regulations is the Datenschutzbehörde Rheinland-Pfalz.
